Trevor Farkas, of Springfield, La. I grew up bass fishing on the Tickfaw River and in the Manchac area. My first taste of saltwater fishing came at around 10yrs old when my dad took me on my first trip to Grand Isle to fish the surf for specks. That’s where the passion for fishing took off! I’ve been fishing the Lake Pontchartrain area for the past 5 years, the Grand Isle area for the past 10 years, and the Hopedale area for the past 2 years.
In 2009 I joined the US Army out of high school, and had to walk away from fishing as I knew it. In 2012 I returned from Afghanistan and found myself right back where I left off, yanking trout and redfish out of the waters in South Louisiana. I currently a Sergeant enlisted in the Louisiana Army National Guard.
I am an avid member of Bayou Coast Kayak Fishing Club and a member of Heroes on the Water, where I help promote the great sport of fishing. I specialize in jigging for speckled trout and redfishing from kayaks. I have a lot of confidence due to Matrix Shad’s products that I can consistently put people on fish when I say I can.
