Warmer and warmer everyday is making the trout reds and flounder fishing in Lake Pontchartrain really heat up. We have been fishing the trestle for our better numbers on catching trout but our bigger fish have been coming from the far eastern shoreline of the lake as we have been seeing a few 4-5 pounders boated from this area. We have really been doing well on the newest of Matrix Shads the “Pink Champagne and Magneto” Make sure to be using the 3/8oz Golden Eye while fishing the bridges and the 5/16oz when drifting the shorelines.
