My name is Steven Francis Nick aka “Century Man” I’m 33 yrs. old; I picked up the name by the late Capt. Barry Brechtel several years ago. “I don’t know, the name stuck..” my email address is centuryman1@charter.net. Phone # 985-640-9350. A little history, my first boat was a spartan, then a key largo , then a Century I just recently sold after seven years when I decided to fish redfish tournaments professionally. I am now running a custom built Gator Trax Gator Flats, red-fishing machine. This boat drafts 6″ and does 50 mph, and the crew at Gator Trax who built this boat , can build just about anything !! My boat from top to bottom is duck camo including floors, to ice chest and removable live-well, even the fish can’t see me.. As a kid, I started fishing Delacroix from 1984-1995 with my dad on the weekends. As i got older, I started to fish Hopedale from 1995 on. I’m married and have two girls. I’m a sophmore in college studying Occupational Therapy, I try to fish at least 3 days a week, and juggle FT school and kids, so far it is working very well..I just recently started fishing Delacroix again, with tournaments coming up. I’m gearing up and getting ready. In 2011 my partner (Capt. Joe Wronkowski) and I placed 3rd and 7th in two big redfish tournaments using the matrix shad for the first time. This lure is very durable, has a great presentation in the water and catches loads of trout and reds. I fished 22 of the last 35 days, specifically targeting speckle trout to see if the matrix shad lure worked as good on redfish as it did on trout…. This lure was a great success…. Just using the Lemonhead Matrix Shad ONLY, I cleaned 1143 speckled trout, in 35 days, caught in the winter, caught in Delacroix, in an area prior to Dec. 9, 2011, I hadn’t fished in over 16 years.. That should tell you about how much faith I have in this lure… Sponsors: Power Pole Standard Maps Sal’s Marine Boat Stuff Sportsman’s Ice Ocean Wave Gus’ Tackle DockSide MatrixShad
