My absolute favorite time of the year is now. Trout are starving and eating up Matrix Shad. Trout in sizes of 2-5lbs have been common all over the area. We have been steadily fishing the Chalmette area from Viloet all the way up the ICW to Boh Bros, and even through the Industrial Canal to SeaBrook. We have been chasing the ever so illusive trophy trout this entire november. We have also been catching many limits so far this November unlike the month of October. The fishing has been flat out awesome everywhere from the Causeway all the way to the East Pearl River Also. Limits have been coming from all these locations of late. The Pink Champagne Matrix Shad and the Midnight Mullet has been the ticket in the crystal clear waters we have been having. The video we just posted is a re-run from last year at this time because the method’s and techniques are exactly what the same on where and how you want to be fishing for the trout right now during your thanksgiving break. Right now the fish are in patches and when you find them they are eager to feed and aggressive. Trolling is very effective right now and when you find a school drop the trolling motor and go to town. 5/16oz Golden Eye is the size to use this time of year. This is peak season and look for it to continue until water temps drop below 55 then we will be shifting over to redfish. Until next time “Good Fishin” and Happy ThanksGiving
