With the world series now here and gone its time to see a surge of trout, reds and flounder to make there way into Lake Ponchartrain and settle in on the bridges. We have already had several opportunities to find “Schooling Reds” working on shrimp with seagulls diving on them. That is a normal occurrence for lake pontchatrain during october and november. Also look for the trout to settle into the trestle as we finally had a strong enough front to drop the water temps low enough for the bridge to catch fire. Our new “Tiger Bait” matrix shad has been hot of late. Remember to keep your eyes peeled while fishing the bridge for these schooling reds in the distance and check out the video to see first hand. Until next time “Good Fishing.”
