Well the blistering heat is here and it will not be going anywhere soon. As most know the dead of the summer means very early starts on the water especially if you are looking for specks. If it’s reds you are after you can get away with a later start but the heat will make you wish you didn’t. Speckled trout are really going to gear their fishing frenzies to daylight hours during the middle of the summer and the Lake Borgne rigs are just the place to do it. As far as redfish go we love the Lake Borgne shorelines and all the interior marshes on higher tide days. We love to sight fish for them on sunnier days.
