Although the lake is more known for drum, redfish and flounder during July, our favorite species, the speckled trout, has made a nice reappearance to the bridges so far this July. The trout we have been seeing have been pretty large in size too averaging close to 3 lbs. The other good thing is that you can catch them on plastics too just check out the newest DokSide TV Video. What we have been doing here lately is bouncing around with plastics on the trestle until we find the trout catching one or two. Then we position the boat and get the live shrimp out and get the fish on a role. The days where we struggle with the trout we have been going to why 11 and the Twin Span and settling for the Drum and RedFish. Make sure to get out here while the lake is full of Life.
