Last few trips we have made in late Febuary we have had similar results. The trestle has been very slow but the few we are catching are very nice trout. What has been producing has been the shove line between Chef pass and Irish Bayou. We have been getting about two cast distances off the marsh or rock shoreline and fan casting 5/16oz GOLDEN EYE jig heads attached to the midnight mullet MATRIX Shad and bouncing them off the bottom. Every day we have tried it we have boxed 20-25 trout and seems to be best action on our side of lake Check out some of the clips at DockSide Live where we show some of the action. On the calmest of days the Causeway has been best trolling 3/4 oz traps and jigging MATRIX Shad’s.
Look for trestle to show major improvements in about 3 weeks until them action will be spotty but plenty enough fish out there to chase down on calmer days.
