If your looking for big numbers of trout the Chalmette area is still the place to be but this week’s tip is to make sure not to over look the trestle for you local anglers. Troy and I made a quick sneak peek monday afternoon at the trestle and boated 2 nice trout and a big flounder at marker 174 using the “Midnight Mullet” MATIX Shad. So a nice day and the trestle looks to have the potential to yield a nice box of trout and flounder if your looking to fish the bridges. If your looking to take a ride to the ICW it is still hot as Brandon and I nailed 30 solid trout 8 big bass and 1 nice red from a multitude of different MATRIX Shads on Tuesday Morning. With the recent warm temps the trout are still eating up so make sure to get out there and MERRY CHRISTMAS.
