With all the High west winds, tides have drop out over 3 feet so far this week and dirtied up the Lake. When this happens we tend to settle for the Drum and Sheepshead bite more and look for the trout in deeper more protected waters or run far east looking for saltier water. West winds plague the Lake for speckled trout. The lake is so littered with drum and sheepshead though, they make a great back up plan during these conditions. Live shrimp carolina rigged is definently the way to go when targeting them. This pattern will stay true all week until East and SouthEast winds come back and bring a good incoming tide.
